Description
Accompanied by an authorized guide, embark on a journey through the treasures of Vatican City, starting with the Vatican Museums, one of the world’s most extraordinary art collections, built by the Popes over the centuries.
The itinerary will take you through some of the museum’s most remarkable rooms, including the Pio Clementino Museum, home to the famous Laocoön Group and the Apollo Belvedere, the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of the Candelabra, and the Gallery of Tapestries. The highlight of the visit will be the magnificent Sistine Chapel, where you will admire Michelangelo’s breathtaking frescoes, among the greatest masterpieces in art history.
After exploring the Vatican Museums, the tour continues to the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world and one of the most important symbols of Christianity. Here, you will admire masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Pietà and Bernini’s monumental Baldacchino.
The experience ends in the spectacular St. Peter’s Square, dominated by Michelangelo’s majestic dome and surrounded by Bernini’s iconic colonnade.
