From the top of the Cidneo hill, the castle of Brescia observes the city and with its 75,000 square meters it is the second largest fortified complex in Europe.
Its history is lost over the centuries: seat of an imposing temple in Roman times and of which the remains are preserved, up to the modern Venetian fortification, passing through the suggestive Visconti buildings. Drawbridges, towers, hidden passages, the Brescia castle offers a unique experience, because in front of a crenellated tower we turn into knights with shining armor.
The tour ends with a tasting of the wines produced in the ancient urban vineyard located on the slopes of the castle whose origins are traced back to a document dated 1038.
